Prior to the culmination of the test-run period last November 25, NJDGE Director David Rebuck gave his approval to six of the seven Atlantic City casinos in going forward with the official launch of their respective gambling websites. Apparently, the NJ examiners assigned to the online casinos were satisfied with how the latter demonstrated their capability to deploy responsible and secure Internet gaming facilities in accordance with the standards set by the gaming division.

Director Rebuck explained that it is up to the online wagering facility operators to solve the issues that cropped-up during the soft play launch, which mostly included website inaccessibility due to geo-location confirmation errors, payment method rejections and lengthy processes related to identity and age verification. The NJDGE’s immediate concern was to ensure that only legal-aged gamblers situated in the Garden State would have access to the approved Internet gambling sites.

The NJDGE Director further stated that since online gambling is a competitive industry, it is up to the privately owned Igaming companies and their Atlantic City casino partners to innovate and integrate the best online gaming platform, in order to attract eligible online players located in New Jersey.

Except for Golden Nugget, which still has to contend with technical glitches occurring in their online slot offerings, the following casinos and their respective websites are now legitimately operating as Internet gambling facilities in the Garden State:

  • Borgata Hotel Casino and Bwin –, and
  • Bally’s Park Place and Caesars Interactive Entertainment –,,, and
  • Boardwalk Regency with Amaya Gaming –
  • Tropicana Casino and Resort with GameSys – and
  • Trump Plaza with Betfair –
  • Trump Taj Mahal and Ultimate Gaming –
